Japan's first *1 virtual reality movie theater, "VR THEATER," will be exhibiting for the first time at the 30th Tokyo International Film Festival!

eje Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Chiaki Miyo, hereinafter referred to as eje) and Interpia Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Hitoshi Kusuoka, hereinafter referred to as Interpia) are collaborating with the 30th Tokyo International Film Festival, which will be held from October 25th, 2017, to exhibit the festival's first-ever VR movie experience booth.
Now in its 30th year, the Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) is the only international film festival in Japan officially recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (IFFA). Established in 1985 as Japan's first large-scale film festival, TIFF has left a significant mark on the film industry and cultural promotion in Japan and Asia, and has grown into one of Asia's largest international film festivals. TIFF brings together outstanding films from around the world to Tokyo, now the most passionate and largest hub for Asian film, providing a forum for filmmakers and film fans from Japan and abroad to encounter and interact with new talent and their passions.

This time, "VR THEATER" will be releasing a total of six works, including the much talked about 360° video work "Ultraman Zero VR" and the third installment of "VR DEAD THEATER," "Abandoned Hospital_Material_0527.mp4," which will be unveiled for the first time.
In addition, to enhance your VR movie experience, we will be installing a mobile VR4D system (TELE POD) in the venue, which will link the sound of the VR content with the vibration function built into a hemispherical rotating chair, transmitting vibrations through Body Sonic. Enjoy an unprecedented, immersive movie experience.

[About the "VR THEATER" service]
Interpia's content billing and in-store payment system has been linked to "VR CRUISE," a high-quality 360° video portal operated by eje. It will be possible to purchase VR content in-store, allowing users to easily enjoy a variety of paid and free titles. This is the first VR viewing service in Japan that allows cash payments in-store, and we aim to develop sales channels for VR content.
