SHORT SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL & ASIA
- Establishment of "VR SHORTS," the first VR section at a Japanese film festival -
In 2018, we established the VR section "VR SHORTS" at the "Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2018," the first such category at a Japanese film festival. As part of our VR CRUISE distribution business, we screened 30 carefully selected VR films from both Japan and overseas at the festival (Roppongi Hills Cafe and Hibiya Midtown Lexus Showroom).
TOWER RECORDS CAFÉ Omotesando
-The Greatest Showman x TOWER RECORDS CAFE-
The Greatest Showman held a collaboration cafe event, "The Greatest Showman x TOWER RECORDS CAFE," at the TOWER RECORDS CAFÉ Omotesando store. The cafe displayed costumes from the characters and offered a special VR menu for a limited time, allowing visitors to experience The Greatest Showman VR content. We supported the event by proposing HMD equipment and creating a viewing app.
-Exhibited at the Cannes Film Festival-
"Ultraman Zero VR," "Blue Thermal," and "Bound" were exhibited at the Cannes Film Festival in June 2017, and "GR" was exhibited at the Venice Film Festival in July 2017. At the Cannes Film Festival, the films were screened to a full house due to their easy-to-understand genres of animation, special effects, and traditional performing arts.
